Care Workers - Full Time
We are currently recruiting Care Workers to help us provide exceptional support to private clients in their own homes. Our staff come from all walks of life – some have little or no experience, but have invaluable life experience and common goals to respect and care for people. If you have a natural ability to make lives of others more fulfilling, are kind-natured and can work on initiative and imagination, then this could be the career for you. Being a Care Worker doesn’t just mean helping our clients remain independent and happy in their own homes, but it means helping maintain their rights of choice, privacy and dignity, using skills to help support them with things they might find more difficult such as preparing meals, showering or administering medication, and making a real difference to improve their lives through compassion, care and support. About the role: To promote client’s rights, choice, independence, individuality, privacy and dignity. To treat clients with respect and keep them safe. To provide exceptional quality domiciliary home care support to clients in their own homes. This could include: Personal Care, Showering / Bathing Dressing and getting ready for the day ahead or preparing for bedtime Medication administration Companionship Help at mealtimes, planning and preparing meals Shopping, trips out, appointments and social activities Domestic tasks Meaningful activity such as singing, dancing, puzzles, Reminiscence Therapy Key Responsibilities: To provide exceptional quality care to clients as outlined in the Care Plan To monitor and report changes in client’s condition To keep clear and accurate records in client’s homes, reporting changes immediately To communicate effectively with clients, their families and colleagues To participate in training and supervision sessions and attend team meetings To undertake any other tasks as directed by your Manager Key Qualities: • Professional. • Commitment to maintain very high standards of care • Excellent communication skills • Reliable, adaptable and flexible • Compassion and empathy with clients • Self-motivated with excellent time management
