Congratulations to our new Dementia Friends Champion

We are delighted that Andrea, our Registered Care Manager is now a Dementia Friends Champion
A Dementia Friends Champion is a volunteer who encourages others to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in their community. They do this by giving them information about the personal impact of dementia, and what they can do to help.
Andrea attended training and is now one of the 10,500 volunteer Dementia Friends Champions creating dementia friendly communities. The initiative was created by The Alzheimer's Society and there are now over 2 million Dementia Friends in the UK.
Andrea commented ‘becoming a Dementia Friends Champion is one of the most positive things I've done and I am looking forward to giving Dementia Friends sessions within the Windsor and Maidenhead community’.
We are inspired and look forward to the rest of the staff here at Nest Homecare becoming Dementia Friends Champions too.
