Why Choose Nest? 6 reasons to choose us as your home care provider
1. We care
We care for our Clients AND our Care Assistants.
This is a very unique philosophy and it shows in the quality of people we employ
and in the person-centred home care we provide.
We have a simple but efffective method to ensure our standards are being kept to the highest they can be which is the "Dad" test - if it's not good enough for him, then it's not good enough for you.
2. We take ALL the stress away
Unlike employing a Personal Assistant either directly or through an Introduction Agency, we manage everything for you (including Employment Contract, NI, Tax, Training, Holiday and Sick cover and pay).
You and your family can relax, safe in the knowledge that everything is taken care of.
3. We are regulated and rated by the CQC
Nest Homecare is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in accordance with The Care Standards Act 2000.
The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate UK health and care services to make sure they are meeting fundamental standards of quality, care and safety. They ensure that such services are Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well-led.
We are rated "Good" in each of these key areas and you can view our CQC Report by following this link.
4. We employ only the most caring Care Assistants
We have a very rigorous recruitment process and are able to select the very best people to join our team. We support and motivate all our staff and ensure they are supported, happy and rewarded.
Our Care Assistants are fully trained in the Care Certificate and also many additional courses. Some of our staff also hold Level 3 RQFs (and above) in Health and Social Care, Dementia and End of Life Care.
5. We offer continuity of care
We possess a moral purpose to sustain the provision of exceptional home care so we offer continuity of care as standard giving you total peace of mind.
Continuity of care is one of our highest priorities when putting together a person-centred care package which is based around your wishes, preferences, needs, likes and dislikes.
6. We are a community-focussed, independent company
Nest is run by local people who are driven by professionalism, attention to detail and who wish to put the "care" back into the care industry.
We are extremely passionate about supporting the local community and helping people live well with dementia - for example we are a part of the local Dementia Action Alliance (WAM DAA) which is a group of local businesses and public services pulling together to ensure that dementia friendly support is provided with the area.
We guarantee that Nest Care Workers are
All our Care Assistants have to pass their annual mandatory Care Certificate training, plus many other courses including GDPR, LGBT+ Care, Catheter Care and Dysphagia.
Many of our staff hold further qualifications including Level 3 in Health and Social Care

We guarantee the quality of Nest service
We are committed to delivering the highest level of service to keep you safe and happy in the home that you love. That is why we are registered by the CQC who monitor, inspect and regulate care services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety.
We have the very latest systems in place so that if a Care Assistant is unwell or running late, we are alerted in plenty of time to be able to organise a solution and inform you within minutes.
We understand it is essential to have total peace of mind about the care being provided, and we believe it’s essential to have access to the details of each and every care visit especially if you are a family member who does not live near your loved one. Co-Owner and Director
My role at Nest is to help ensure that we are providing the very best service to our clients and being the very best employer to our Care Team.
I am very passionate about supporting people with dementia. I am a Dementia Friends Champion, hold a Level 2 in Dementia Care and a Level 3 in Education and Training. I created and run the WAM DAA (Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead Dementia Action Alliance) who assist the community to better serve those with dementia.
I am a Board Member of the East Berkshire BCA (Berkshire Care Association) who offer support and advice to other care providers in the area.
Registered Care Manager
As a Registered Care Manager, I'm responsible for delivering the highest level of care possible to our clients.
I also manage our fantastic staff team, along with Afsheen and ensure they have everything they need to help support our clients in their own homes.
I have held various roles in care for over 10 years and have also managed Live-in and Supported Living services. I hold a Level 5 in Health and Social Care, and am also a Train the Trainer.
My main reason for being with Nest is down to the fact that we are a small, privately-run, local business so we can really focus on person-centred care which is at the heart of everything we do.
I have been a Care Assistant for over 9 years, and at Nest Homecare for over 5 years.
I love working with people and helping them in their daily lives. It's a very demanding but rewarding and fulfilling job. I believe that caring is my calling in life. My clients are extremely special to me, and I enjoy looking after them in their own homes - it gives them such pleasure to be at home surrounded by their comforts, and with a little assistance, they're able to live happy, fulfilled lives.
I love working at Nest because of their compassion and and how supportive the whole team is - these traits are unfortunately rare within the industry.
